I woke up to watch THE LITTLES, INSPECTOR GADGET & THE SILVERHAWKS. Well, they played well I got ready for school. I woke up to THE LITTLES, which still air in my area. I got ready to INSPECTOR GADGET & had breakfast with the SILVERHAWKS. While I waited for my mother to finish getting ready to take me to school I watched THE BOZO SHOW.

I watched tons of stuff after school, but never before. Who has TIME for that? lol. I never did.
Me, because I needed TIME to get all good and awake and alert because I am NOT a morning person... AT ALL! I can be a monster before 11:00 A.M., and when I have to wake up before then, it takes FOREVER to get fully awaken.

Same here. I watched loads of telly AFTER school. The only thing I did was wake up at some un-Godly hour of the morning to watch Pokemon, lol!
HOWEVER, I do remember a lot of stuff that I watched before I actually attended primary school. Like, during my kindy years when I was four and five. I still remember those days quite well.

The stuff I watched during weekday mornings/mindays and arvos included:
  • Sesame Street (a'duh! And does anyone remember when it was on TWICE a day? Those were the days...);
  • Jim Henson's The Storyteller;
  • The Secret Life Of Toys (I could've sworn I watched that show a lot when I was a little kid);
  • Lizzie's Library (Or was it Liz's Library? I can't remember but it wasn't a bad show);
  • Cheese TV (Actually, I watched that during my early school years. It played shows like Pokemon, Rugrats, Dragon Ball Z and other cartoons);
  • Bidgit (What happened to that lil' purple guy who could morph into anything, anywho?)
  • What-A-Mess! (Based on the book, about a messy dog);
  • Lift Off (Aw man, that was an awesome show. It had puppets in it as well as a human cast. It was different to the other childrens' shows. It was wacky, twisted and very unique. Do any other Aussie children of the 90s remember this show? :wink:)
  • Play School;
  • Arthur (Still one of my fave shows);
  • Bananas & Pajamas;
  • The Genie From Downunder;
  • Around The Twist;
  • Billy The Cat;
  • Lil' Elvis & The Truck-stoppers;
  • Mr. Sqiggle (Who could forget him?)
  • Hi-5;
  • Blinky Bill (He was just, great!)
  • Totally Wild;
  • The Wiggles;
  • The Ferels (Man that was a good show! Think Aussie Muppets. They're kinda weird lookin' though);
  • Barney;
  • Here's Humphery;
  • Johnson & Friends (great show!)
  • Magic Mountain (That was actually a really good show);
  • The Magic School (Loved the books, loved the show);
  • William's Wish Welligtons (About this kid who's wellingtons would grant wishes for him).
And what happened to the ol' saturday morning ritual? I used to wake up ay about 6:00 to watch stuff like:
  • Saturday Disney (An Aussie show, still playing today, which showed various Disney cartoons such as: Hurcules, Ducktales, House Of Mouse, The Mighty Ducks,Timon & Pumbaa, etc) They're webiste's: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saturday_Disney ;
  • Goof Troop (Homigosh! Does anyone remember that show? That show rocked, man);
  • The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air;
  • Agro (Anyone remember that Aussie icon? He was a puppet -the builder of Agro's actually on this very forum- and he performed with Shelly from Saturday Disney);
  • The Cool Room (Like Saturday Disney, but they showed Loony Tunes);
  • Inspector Gadget;
  • Animaniacs;
  • Saved By The Bell (still one of my all-time fave shows);
  • ...and faaaaaaar more!
Now that I think about it, I had a perty good childhood. Aussie TV fer children was perty good, esp. in the 90s! :big_grin:

Wow Pork, I watched a lot of those shows, too! Yeah, Babar was great. Yeah, I definatly remember watching The Secret Life Of Toys, the abc also aired The Storyteller, didn't they? Channel 7 and abc were my fave channels fer sure! The Ferels puppets were perty weird, wern't they? (They reminded me of the Lift Off ones, which my brother was afraid, heehee) Mixy and all that looked permenantly surprised, but it was a great show.

I also forgot Captain Planet! That was a great show. Watched it all the time.

Yep, I remember when Sesame Street was on twice a day. Once in the morning, and once after school. It would be Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street and The Electric Company.

And I still occasionally catch Arthur, too.

Oh hey, that reminds me, for a SHORT period of time, re-runs of Recess were coming on of those early morning hours, so I'd watch that.
That would be Disney's one 2 (stupid name for it) which aired on UPN, as a surrogate version of the Disney afternoon. I used to watch the reruns of Buzz Lightyyear of Star command before I went to College every morning when it was on.

I remember one year in jr. High, I watched Samurai Pizza cats and sometimes Dragon Ball (the original, but this was before I got into it). Then at one point in college I saw Garfield reruns, and reruns of the New Woody Woodpecker show.
