Anybody want to remember this sketch?

It was a cartoon starring a boy and his pet dog.

It taught us about what to do with the pet like walking with it, bathing it, feeding it and talking with it.

"What do ya ALWAYS do with a pet?
You pet him!"

I watched that on 123 Sesame Street this morning, and Ingeborg Nordon transcribed this skit for the Sesame Street Lyrics Archive.

Squeeze him, but don't tease him
You love him, but don't shove him
You give him water to drink, sometimes a bath in the sink!

You give him food to eat, and sometimes a treat
You walk with him, and you talk with him
Run with him, have fun with him
But what do you always do with a pet?
You pet him!
