The real Ruby Slippers in the Wizard Of Oz are not for sale anyway. Only one pair was made and they are in a museum, and they have real rubies in them, so anyone who claime to be selling them is a fraude.
there were actually many pairs of Ruby Slippers made for The Wizard of Oz.. and at least 5 pairs still exist.. 4 owned by private collectors and one in the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History.. of course, if someone were really going to auction one of these pairs, they'd go someplace besides ebay.. the last auction went for $666,000 in May of 2000 :eek:
