Something I just plain didn't like about this season is just about every single Street story revolved around Elmo. If it wasn't Elmo it was Telly, Baby Bear, Zoe, or Rosita. They seem to focus on those 5 main street charachters more than anyone, and it seems as though they never show more that one human per episode anymore, and the humans never contribute much to the street story. I actually liked last season, because we had a few episodes which focused on Grover, a few that focused on Cookie Monster, and one that focused on Ernie and Bert, and even used their apartment as part of the street story! I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that! That's something Iv'e wanted them to do since I was probably about 3 years old!!! They also had a good one that focused on Oscar last year, and it was a great episode because he played a trick on Telly that he hasn't played on him in years that he used to play on him all the time back in the 1980's, with the snake coming out of the can. It seems like they would focus on more classic charachters since this is the shows 35th season. But it seems like every plot was Elmo this, and Elmo that, then 20 Minutes of Elmo's World, after you see Elmo during the whole show! I just wish the old charachters would have got more recognition this year. Oh well, there's always next yeat. But then again I fear next year may be even worse

This is the way it was last season, 9 out of 10 storylines revolved around Zoe, Telly, and/or Baby Bear, now this year it's Elmo again. Who knows what will be the #1 character next season!

We had a couple Grover episodes this season. One cookie themed(and appearences of Cookie in others). We also had a few Big Bird ones and a two parter about Snuffy also Oscar had a story. Also the kids love Elmo, Zoe, Baby Bear...etc why not let them have them?
Plus you forgot characters like Zoe, Rosita, Telly, & Baby don't have daily sketches. We see Big Bird everyday, Ernie everday, Cookie everday, Grover everyday, Count everday, Oscar everyday, and most days Bert.

But we never see Susan or Luis. Man, Luis ALWAYS gets the shaft!

The two humans, not including Gabi and Miles, most regularly seen on SESAME STREET are:

_______ and _________ (fill in blanks).

I think I know what it is, actually. It hit me not too long ago and this thread seems like the perfect place to post it. When I was a kid (70's/80's...mostly 70's) and I can confirm this after watching the Unpaved's, Sesame Street seemed like a place where PEOPLE LIVED. There was all this cool stuff going on all the time, and I desperately wanted to live there. NOW...get ready, it's the set of a T.V. show. That's it. No magic. Just a set. It doesn't seem real. And don't tell me it's cuz I was a kid then, because after watching the old episodes, I got that feeling again. But not now. My daughter likes the show, and I won't bad-mouth it to her, of course, since she's getting something out of it. But like I said....just a set, not a neighbourhood. Ho-hum.

Too bad.

What does everyone else think? Am I right? Nail-on-the-head?

I really don't understand why any kid would like Elmo, Zoe and Baby Bear. They are boring and predictable, and are a waste of space. They take up way too much time on the show and they do not allow the older charachters to step in for a street story like they should. I think Elmo needs to have his own Seperate show of Elmo's world, Zoe should get run over by a bus and Baby Bear should get served a Bowl of Poison Porridge and DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also think that whoever wrote the quote up above should die along with Baby Bear and Zoe for being a worthless piece of ****!!!

Maybe the introduction of Elmo, Zoe, and Baby Bear and all the other dumbing down of the show was part of one of the Amazing Mumford's spells. In that case, let's start breaking the spell and bring the show back to normal. A la peanut butter sandwiches!

Guys you are ADULTS! ADULTS! The show isn't aimed at you so why find it so confusing that kids like something on it you don't? Since the show's change in Season 33 ratings have shot up A TON. What they are doing works. The kids love it and they have more viewers than ever. Plus we older fans still get plenty of Cookie, Grover, Big Bird, Count, Bert, & Ernie love.

Thank you for saying that.

We still have Unpaved if we want to relive the glory days, but for now, our kids are getting a big kick out of the show the way it is. If those characters went away, my daughter wouldn't be too pleased either, and the SHOW IS FOR HER in the first place!

Everybody just calm down.

Re-sheesh.
