The Beatles: Because... they're The Beatles. Isn't that a good enough reason?
America: Such a lovely band. They're music is really beautiful, though I do find them a little underrated.
Fleetwood Mac: Awesome band! In my own opinion, the FM in the 70s with Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks era was better than the original bluesy Peter Green era. Once again, awesome band.
The Doors: Good band, really unique. And Jim Morrison rocks.
Led Zeppelin: It's simple: Led Zeppelin owns all of our souls.
Black Sabbath: Even post-Ozzy it was a great band.
The Who: Great music, esp. Tommy!
Cream: Great psychedelic-blues band from the 60s.
The Rolling Stones: Oh, they've been going on forever, and I don't care what people say- I don't want them to retire! Pure rock 'n' roll.
Eagles: What a talented bunch of blokes...
ELO: Electric Light Orchestra. They did some great stuff.
Crobsy, Stills & Nash: Awesome guys... and they've worked with so many great muso's.
Carpenters: Sweet music.
Bread: Soft rock fun!

Those are SOME of my favourite BANDS... not solo artists.

Blondie: They've released some great stuff, and Debbie Harry ROCKS.
Creedence Clearwater Revival: Fantastic stuff, they've put out. CCR forever!
Supertramp: People think this band is really daggy. But I don't care, they're songs are so catchy!
Sex Pistols: British goodness! Never Mind the Bollocks... is one of the best albums ever.
Queen: So. Darn. AWESOME! Vair flamboyant, too.
Guns 'n' Roses: I love their stuff from Appitite For Destruction. Great album, great band.
