no, I don't mind (although it's rather odd) weeeell here I go....

My bladder does not have anything protecting it from any sort of infection, so other than always having to use the little girl's room, I get sick very easily. I take antibiotics to help it, but when I get colds and stuff, it's not good to add more antibiotics, and so I just get sick, and for some reason the flu shot gives me the flu! So now you probably know waaay too much about me, but that's ok...you asked......
Wow, I'm sorry that you've got it so rough :frown: I just asked because I've been through a lot of medical stuff... I almost died from the Cat Scratch Fever- had it for two years and there is no cure, so I had to fight it off myself. I had to have two operations- one being an emergency, to remove 20 dead lymphnodes, since they are what the disease attacks. So my immune system is compromised. Then years later I had a really bad strain of Lyme disease, and had to take antibiotics for 60 days rather than the usual 20 days. And currently I get severe Migraine headaches every week... so I know how it is. :frown:

awwww, don't worry. We don't really feel all that sorry for you.

 j/k

I didn't realize you had so many more problems than the ones I'm allowed to pick on you about. I'm sorry.

Well you do realize that what they inject into you with the flu shot is the flu, don't ya? I mean, that is still common knowledge among today's burnt out youth, right? (Cuz knowledge is power!)

And I don't get it. If you always get sick from the flu shot, then why would you get again this year? Wouldn't it make more sense to... y'know... NOT get it? I dunno, just seems like common sense to me.

I've never gotten the flu shot in all my life. My family doesn't "believe" in it, and I haven't been sick in over 3 years. And by that I mean I've never even had a cold or threw up (okay, I have thrown up... but those times were all alcohol induced, s'okay?) or anything! I AM INDESTRUCTABLE! MWAHAHAHAHA... (cough, hack, cough)... hahaha...

Flu shots only address the strains of flu predicted to be hanging about, based on worldwide travel patterns of the many, many influenza viruses. They do not by any means prevent all strains of flu. Flu is highly contagious and is airborne, so just talking to someone can pass it on. Young people are not encouraged to get flu shots, they can soldier through it.

You are too young to be getting these, unless you have some particular health issues that predicate it. Normally age 45 is the recommended start age for flu shots. People only get a true influenza every ten years or so in their lives, with shots or without. Most of what folks think is flu is just a cold virus of some sort. Different family of non-preventable bugs.

Yeah, I never get flu shots. I hate shots too much anyway.
