Despicable Me 3 took home around $75 mil. this weekend, a solid number but lower than DM2 and Minions. And Transformers 5 slipped down to #3, unlike its predecessor which stayed in the top spot for a good 2 weeks. So at least we know that while the Chinese can't get enough of Bayformers, Americans are the opposite.

I just got back from seeing Despicable Me 3, and I thought it was hilarious. The 80's villain definitely stole the show.

Oh yeah, this movie has box office gold written all over it:

I mean, really, how can a propaganda film by Charlie Sheen fail to bring people in droves to the theaters? And Whoopi Goldberg? This could probably save her waning career that's been reduced to her being a co-host on a trashy conservative morning talk show - she could be an A-lister all over again! And Gina Gershon? Why, what movie cast is complete without an actress who's only had a less than stellar career that resulted in her appearing in a few almost pornographic movies here and there? Just look how well that worked out for ex-child star Alyssa Milano!

Oh yeah, I smell an Oscar!

Hey guys. Been away for a while but I saw The Mummy the day it came out in probably the best theater I've ever been to, IMAX 3D and it was awesome, much better that the IMAX Theater I saw Rogue One in. Speaking of Rogue One, I don't think I told you guys what I thought of it, and I think it was Almost as good as TFA, but the gamut of characters in the Film made it frustrating at times. Shame all of those characters will be limited to that Movie, considering it's a Prequel to A New Hope.
Anyway, what I really wanted to say.
The Mummy was a real quality Movie. The CGI was top notch, the story was interesting and there were some surprising things in it. A shame it didn't really knock it out of the park Review or Box-Office Wise here, but it made bank in China.
BTW I didn't like King Arthur at all. I was being very generous towards it initially.
