Something tells me they're going to need to shove the characters into an Ultimate Spider-Man, the new Avenger series, or the Hulk series somewhere to get kid's interest.

I'd hate for a cartoonish raccoon to derail the MCU.
The GoG were in an episode of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, which was cancelled earlier this year. But yes, while I feel like the other members of the Guardians would fit right into the MCU, a talking loud-mouth racoon is kind of a hard sell.

How about Electro's look for the film? I know they only released one set photo, but clearly they're not using Electro's original Silver Age look, which really doesn't stand the test of time. It looks like they're going more for his Ultimate look. I loved Jamie Foxx in Django unchained, and I'm excited to see him play the villain for once. I'm also interested to see what direction they take the character in; in the comics, Electro (Maxwell Dillon) is basically a superpowered thug; he doesn't pull the same grandiose schemes that Green Goblin and Doc Ock are famous for. I imagine in the new film Norman Osborn will probably be pulling his strings.

I've heard about that. But the movie was actually written by Insomniac, so I would imagine they would really have to screw up to make it terrible. Its not like someone unfamiliar with the game is writing it. Actually being a fan of Ratchet and Clank, the trailer gives me hope

While I had never played the video games before, that trailer looks amazing. A lot of the time, the cartoon adaption got me into the games. This could potentially reach the same kind of audience, leaving to more game buyers. This seems like a solid project if it continues in production.

Seriously, this has got to be better than most of those video game movies. Someone who's familiar with the games=gold. And none of that lame "artistic" interpretation that plagues most of these things.

Quark (the green guy) is EXACTLY like that in the games. Overly hammy, thinking he's a bigshot. I would really suggest watching some cutscenes from the games. Insomniac is also the developers who made the first three and only really good Spyro games. They have a great sense of humor.

You had me at hammy.

It would be cool if Sony started a series of films based on video games. I'd love to see a Parappa movie with the original game developers behind the script. Maybe get Sara Ramirez to reprise the role of Lammy... It's time to turn the tide of terrible video game movies. Though, I hear the Resident Evil ones are arguably better than the video games.

Gonna watch some cut scenes tomorrow, actually.

Men in Black 4 confirmed.

I really hope it's more along the lines of the third one than the second one. Whatever it is, it's still not going to be half as good as the animated series. I really hope they release more of that on DVD.
