Been watching alot of The Addams Family (movie) & Addams Family Values lately. Getting a bit tiresome. But, hey they only come around during this time of year.

On the side, I keep thinking of Tim Burton. I remember they said that he's planning to do an Addams Family, but non-stop motion like.

Thank frog Fun Size flopped big time. I'm sure Victoria Justice is a nice young woman, but no one who was on "Zoey 101" should ever be allowed to headline a movie. :shifty:

Sad to see Frankenweenie slide so far, but it's at least earning a good profit. Nearly $50 mil. revenues compared to its $39 mil. budget? Not too shabby.

The Artist formerly known as Frogboy made some good points, but I really don't think Frankenweenie deserved to do as poorly as it did, especially since the main competition was Hotel Transylvania. I mean, HT was a fun movie and all, and certainly the most polished turd Sony gave us so far. But Frankenweenie was a better film. At the very least, the puppeteering craft was much better to look at.

I still hope the fact HT is doing well at the Box Office speaks well for Genndy. I REALLY want to see CN crawling back to try to get Symbiotic Titan back up, seeing as now Genddy is a money maker (and that I finally got around to watching some of it, making me agree even more). But I REALLY hope he does better with Popeye. And I REALLY hope after that, he gets Paul Rudish and everyone else behind his hit cartoons to make a really good movie at Sony.

That said, if Wreck it Ralph doesn't do well, I'll be shella disappointed. That film's getting a LOT of internet hype, and I'm chomping at the bit to see it. Almost as much as the Muppet film. Like 90%.

Last weekend I saw Silent Hill 2, and...well, I was hoping it wouldn't suck, but not expecting much. And I got what I expected: an utter cheese-fest made by people who obviously never played the games. Poor Pyramid Head. But I was able to enjoy it for its cheese factor, and there were some cool bits, like the switches between worlds. I hope it at least makes back its budget.

I am itching to see Wreck-It Ralph! When I saw that preview in front of Brave I felt like a happy little kid. It was as if they made that movie just for me. Q*Bert! Dig Dug! (But when was Sonic the Hedgehog or any of its spawn in an arcade? Oops.) It's going to be playing at the Movie Tavern near me, so I'll be there for the matinee this Saturday.

There's a strange technicality that Sonic was indeed an arcade game a few times.

Sonic the Fighters

and Sega Sonic the Hedgehog

Neither are available in the US as arcade games, and only Sonic the Fighters got a console release in a "Best of" compilation. The other had a trackball, and that didn't translate, so it couldn't have been released on console. And Segasonic was supposed to come out in the Western world, with newly designed Robotnik Sprites that look like his SatAm/Comic book version. But it didn't.

And that's not even talking about the WEIRD games, like Sonic Popcorn shop (the world's only hybrid food vending machine/video game) and Waku Waku Sonic Patrol Car.

As for King Koopa... would you believe Super Mario Vs.? Essentially the Super Mario Bros 1 game in arcades? I guess they picked Koopa over Donkey Kong because of his more iconic status. There was also supposed to be Dr. Wily... he might/might not be in the finished product... there were 2 Mega Man fighting games in Japan that were arcade machines.
