I totally forgot about "Ape"! That will easily take 1rst place with at least $30 million. So for my weekend forecast I predict...

1. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes $38 million
2. Planes $15 million
3. S:cool:x Tape $10 million

Ooo, looked at the rotten tomatoes page for planes 2 and with a mere 5 reviews, planes 2 has a 40% rotten . S:cool:x tape isn't doing any better with only 12 reviews, the film has a 33% rotten.

Planes will have at least $20 million for the weekend, altough I would be kinda pleased to see it match up to your prediction. Oh, "Lose Yourself" by Eminem came on. I love the guitar in the beginning and also in the whole song.

Is it a guitar? Anyway, YOU BETTER LOSE YOURSELF IN THE MUSIC THE MOMENT YOU OWN IT...

Don't forget there's also that crappy sequel to "The Purge." Horror movies always make a ton of money.

Or, they don't. This year, horror hasn't been that big, just look at the Paranormal Activity spinoff and Devils Due. The Purge 2 Might be a hit, but I don't count on it.
My weekend top 5 prediction!
1. Dawn of the Planet of the Apes-41 M
2. Planes-27 M
3. S:cool:x tape- 21 M
4.The Purge-17 M
5. Transformers-9 M

I hope Purge 2 bombs. It's such a despicable premise. I don't care if that's the point, or if they're making some sort of statement. It's just disgustingly cynical, and I'm a cynic. Plus, how can you have a sequel to something like that without it just being a retread?

Hope everything this week bombs, purge 2, s:cool:x tape, and planes 2. Apes will easily beat all those films up!

Well for whatever reason planes 2 got 50% which is more than 2x the first one, and even with a rotten rating it was still enough to be the highest rated film of the weekend with this review. "Although it's too flat and formulaic to measure up against the best family-friendly fare, Planes: Fire and Rescue is a passable diversion for much younger viewers."

Why does it get better reviews?

I'll bet it has something to do with not following directly in Cars' footsteps by blankly retreading the racing plotline that wasn't even the main focus of the first Cars movie.
