I understand now. I haven't had a lot of experience with foam latex but it is self skinning so no, you wouldn't need to skim off the top layer. That will become the outside of the puppet skin. Hope that helped!

Ok. Thanks a lot! I've done some special effects in the past, homemade effects but trying to follow the great masters tips. The great problem here is still the access to materials. Now I'm playing with a recomended material to sculpt small figures, little statues like you can see in Amazing Figure Modeler magazines. It takes a lot of time, of course, and I need to do other things as work, this is a hobby by now.
