A formor Muppet preformer who was let go. He recently was hired to do puppet work for the Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
Hmmm. I find it weird that on Rick Lyon's personal website, he claims Steve is "such a terrific guy". Did the two having a fall out after he wrote that or what?

Who knows? Maybe he's holding a really big grudge against him.

There's been some speculation that Rick was always a bit jealous Steve got Kermit instead of him. Perhaps he waited until Steve's firing to open his mouth.

But again, it's pure speculation from others.

Rick's website has been around since, what, the late 90s?

He was supposedly fired in the early 2000s, which led to his involvement with AVENUE Q.

His recent comments said that Steve had a tendancy to throw younger, newer, or secondary performers under the bus, and also seems to view Steve's firing as karma.

Could it be that sometime between, maybe, 1997/1998 and 2001/2002 or so, Steve ended up doing something that cost Rick his job at Sesame?
