vBulletin 3.0: Release Candidate 1

Our upgrade to vBulletin 3 RC1 is now complete.

All efforts in producing this version have been towards stabilizing the existing code, rather than creating new functionality, and hence at a glance you may see no difference between vB3 Gamma and vB3 RC1. However, more than 170 bugs and issues have been identified and fixed by the vBulletin team in the past month, resulting in the most secure and stable version of vBulletin so far.

I have a question, were there any fixed bugs that were a big problem here at MC? I just don't remember any specific big problems, and I'm curious to what exactly was fixed.

Here is a short list of some of the bugs and problems that have been resolved since the Gamma release:

• "Invalid birthday" error on registration
• Made all HTTP header redirects HTTP 1.1 compliant
• Page can't be scrolled in IE while page is loading
• Forms in drop down menus not submittable in Safari
• Emails show headers in the body / emails rejected because they contain an invalid character in the header
• array_merge() causes errors on PHP5
• Phrases case insensitive in the control panel, but case sensitive when used
• Improper language and encoding of RSS feeds
• Images paths incorrect when CSS is saved as files
• Problems deleting a thread
• Assorted style fixes
• Assorted phrase fixes

Hey, still when I refresh a page I get a LONG list of data at the begining before the top bar, it seems to be getting longer. This only happens on refresh though. Can't imagine why.

Beau, what browser and version number are you using? Also, if you aren't on Windows, let me know what operating system you have.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the problem with the 'you haven't registered' box popping up when you leave and come back is gone now. Any idea on what exactly happened? Anyway, seems to be fixed now, unless you wanted it like that in which case maybe you can figure out a way to get it back.

Personally, I'm glad it's gone. However, I do see the point in wanting those who haven't registered to sign up.

I am on windows, not sure what number, I'll try and have a look.

BTW the e-mail notification all came together in a rush the other night, so I had about a hundred e-mails at once, I guess Hotmail was bouncing them for a bit.
