I think there's a whole thread about the controversey here somewhere. There's two We Are Family foundations, one is for unity in the world, the other is for gay awareness, and the Christian groups all jumped online and found the gay website instead of the proper one for this video and so they jumped right out without knowing their details and began making accusations against cartoon characters and puppets.

BTW: Even though he's not on The Muppets, I did get a thrill seeing Hoots the Owl in that video, too!
