After dealing with a certain middle-aged brat on this website this week, some members of the Sesame Street community do not deserve to call themselves fans. Some of you on here know what I’m talking about in regards to this.

OOF, I needed to get that off my chest!

I’m just gonna say this.

As I get older, I genuinely have no problem saying “I’m sorry you feel that way” to someone.

Yes, it’s an annoying fake “apology” no one likes to hear and says a lot about someone’s character. That being said, I also find context matters as well.

Like it’s one thing to say it when you know you’re in the wrong. I think it’s another to say it to someone who’s just extremely difficult or unreasonable and you want nothing to do with them afterwards. The latter part is where I have no issue saying it to someone - if I’m just done dealing with someone because I try to be reasonable with them and they just make everything about themselves.

If it were a case I know I’m in the wrong and someone points it out to me, then that’s where I’d take all accountability obviously. Otherwise, if I’m trying to be fair and civil with someone and they aren’t giving that same respect to me back, well….. 🤷‍♂️
