Yeah, I'm bitter that there will be no more muppets (@!!#%$&*!!)
But I figure there should have been at least another 50 to make the cast complete, as well as some varations of characters previously produced. Let me know if "ve forgotten anyone!!

1) Annie Sue Pig (first & foremost!!!)
2) Angus McGonnacle
3) Baskerville the Hound (to hang out with Rowlf)
4) Beakie (that multi-coloured bird thing on the Alice Cooper episode)
5) Beautiful Day Monster (Ed Sullivan show, when I was little he gave me nightmares!!!)
6) Catgut
7) Cynthia Birdley
8) Fozzie's Mom
9) Foofoo (How come they never threw him in with Miss Piggy?)
10) George the Janiter
11) Bobbity (I love this guy, but did't know he had a name until this year!)
12) Droop
13) The Gill brothers
14) Gladys the Cow
15) Gloat
16) Hilda the wardrobe lady
17) Japanese polevaulters
18) Dodo (Anne Murray episode)
19) Betsy Bird
20) Fletcher bird
21) Winny (canteen lady)
22) Gladys (other canteen lady)
23) Doglion
24) Big Mama
25) Behemoth (big yellow monster)
26) J.P. Gross
27) The Lautrec Sisters (dancing rats)
28) Lenny the Lizard
29) Lewis Kazagger
30) Lola the Fandancer
31) Lydia the Tattooed Lady
32) Lonny Lemon & her Singing Wig
33) Mahnaa Mahna
34) Snowths
35) Mildred Huxtetter
36) Miss Appleby
37) Miss Mousey (I love her almost as much as Annie Sue!!!)
38) Nigel
39) Norman Frog (frogscout)
40) Paul Reveare (the horse)
41) Professor Salamander
42) Ronald Duck
43) Slithy Toves ( from the Jabborwoky sketch)
44) Sopwith the Camel
45) Thog (one of the best characters ever!!!!)
46) Timmy Monster
47) T.R. (the Rooster)
48) Wayne
49) Wanda
50) Zelda Rose & her singing owl
51) The Flying Zuchini Brothers

Then the obvious Variations...

52) Nurse Piggy
53) Doctor Bob
54) Nurse Janice
55) Police LInk
56) Casual Link

(Miss Piggy wore a different dress every week, and Kermit was almost always naked... so why did they make 3-4 Piggys and 926 different Kermits?)

Actually, there were not 926 kermits. Not counting give-aways, there were only six kermit figures made for sale (There were also two give-aways, Holiday kermit and Wedding of the century Kermit, if you want to count give-aways, but that only adds up to 8 Kermits).

Also, counting give-aways, there were only four Miss Piggy figures released (there was also Nurse Piggy and baby Piggy, who were made but never released) mainly because the likeness on the first Piggy figure was so different that many fans didn't buy it just becasue it was a bad likeness, and according to henson it is common for Miss Piggy merchandise to not sell as well as other character merchandise. If it sells poorly, retailers usually think it has to do with the character and not whether it was a good likeness. The other regular-release Miss Piggy figure, First Mate Piggy, was only sold with a playset, and the sales of the playsets were not too successful. Who knows how well a regular release Miss Piggy figure with a perfect likeness that wasn't included in a playset would have sold?

Anyway, to make the line feel complete, it would have also needed to include the following Muppets Tonight characters:
Seymour The Elephant
sal manillia (who was sculpted)
Bobo The bear
Mulch
Nigel The Director
Spamela Hamderson
Andy Pig
Randy Pig
Bill The Bubble Guy
Mr. Poodlepants

You're right Minor Muppetz,
I'd heard that the Piggy's weren"t selling, and I guess the bottom line for Henson & Palisades is money...I'm sure Annie Sue wouldn't sell as much as Kermit or Rizzo, but it sure would have been nice to a Complete Cast. (But I sure am glad they made as many as they did!!!)

Personally, the only one they actually planned on making that I am most upset that wasn't released was Sal, since they made Johnny. Now, I've wanted him since he was constantly bumped from series to series, and I feel he should have been made instead of Usher Scooter or repaint Swedish Chef. Personally, the line's end was affected by the unwarrented decision they had to make a series 10 based on Muppet Oz, one of the worst of the Muppet movies, and didn't finish them. I mean, I'm glad they pulled strings with a few characters, but Sal should have been made.

Do we actually know that he was bumped from series to series? I know that he was planned for series 7, and eventually Palisades had considered releasing Sal as a pack-in for Johnny Fiama but moved his release becasue the fur sculpt couldn't get approved in time, but I have never read any official announcements stating that he was ever planned for series 8 or 9.

There once was a question at the old Ask Ken thread on Muppet central where somebody asked about the chances of Annie Sue Pig, Boppity, Gloat, George, Wayne, and wanda, and Ken Lilly said that out of those only George The Janitor had a really good chance, and he was never announced to be made.

I think it is a bit strange that palisades didn't think Annie Sue had a good chance, yet Lips was made. I am happy that Lips eventually got made, as he was one of the characters I most wanted a figure of before this line was even annoucned, but still, I would think that Annie Sue (as well as many other characters) would be more popular than Lips.

I would think that Annie Sue was just as important a character as Beauregard, Lew Zeland, and Pops were, and they got made. I would think that her popularity would be equal or similar to the popularity of Lew Zeland, Beauregard, Pops, The Newsman, Sweetums, Dr. Strangepork, and Crazy Harry, who all got made.

Of course, all of those have the advantage of having some lines in the movies, while Annie Sue Pig only appeared in the background in the movies, without any lines. Louise Gold did perform in The Great Muppet Caper, so she could have had plenty of lines and have been a part of the main cast in that movie (In my opinion, the main cast of muppets in the great muppet caper are miss piggy and any muppet who joined together to defeat the jewel thiefs). Louise Gold also performed in the Muppet Christmas carol and Muppet Treasure Island, but Annie Sue didn't even make a walk-on cameo.

I think that if Annie Sue had a big part in any of the movies she might have been made as an action figure.

The following characters are ones that I wish could have been made.

Seymour The Elephant
Louis Kazagger
Thog
Doglion
Lobbock Lou and his Jughuggers
Boppity
Gloat
Droop
Green Hunchback Frackle
fletcherbird
Bobby Benson
George The janitor
Hilda
Nigel The Director
Zippety Zap
Fleet Scribbler
Mad Monty
Blind pew

I also wish that Palisades was allowed to make figures from The Jim Henson Hour who weren't part of anything else that Palisades had the license for.

Sal was originally in Series 7, but was moved to Series 9. But for budget reasons he was pushed back to series 10, which was never made. Even then, I figure he would have been pushed back again due to the "Oz" figures that were never finished.

Gotta agree with Beautiful Day Monster and Lydia the Tattooed Lady.
