I'd like to ask two questions about the "Dialing for Prizes Movie" sketch:

1. What famous Hollywood stars were depicted in the photos on the wall alongside Guy Smiley? All I know is they were legendary actresses from vintage films.

2. The contestant on the show was named Mr. Lucky. Was he named after Bud Luckey, a musician and animator who worked on many animated segments?

For the second question, I think it was just because he was the “lucky” caller.

The first of the photos, above the archway Guy Smiley walks through, is of W.C. Fields. Some of the others might be Jimmy Stewart, Marilyn Monroe, Helen Kane, but I don't know for sure.

I have to admit, the "Dialing for Prizes Movie" sketch is one of my most favorite Guy Smiley sketches ever.

Among my other favorite Guy Smiley sketches include:
  • "Say the Word" (a spoof of "Password"/"Password Plus"/"The $25,000 Pyramid")
  • "The Trading Game" (a spoof of "Let's Make a Deal")
  • "The Remembering Game" (a spoof of "Concentration")
  • "The Weather Show"
  • "Beat the Time" (I like the Cookie Monster version the best)
  • "The Addition Game"
