Amazing how this monster first came to be by accident, when Jerry Nelson and Richard Hunt were playing around on the set, and they both thought they looked like a monster with two heads!

Some people say Bert and Ernie are the best duo, but I think these guys, er, this guy, is even better! Education-wise, the THM is a great character because he teaches kids about conflicts and cooperation, as well as sounding out words as they are formed, all in a way that's understandable to them while entertaining older audiences as well.

I also love the THM's unique design, with the two heads having opposite features (e.g., one head having downward-pointing horns and the other with upward-pointing horns) to go along with their opposing personalities. Their gibberish is also real funny (at least to me) without being too annoying.

I love the bit where they're brushing their teeth (each has only one tooth!) as well as the "Two heads are Better than One" song they perform with Herry...classic stuff!
