Twillight Zone fans at MC?

I've been a huge fan of the show for years, but have never seen the 80's series. I rewatched the new series from a few years ago last week and I have to say that they were much better than I remember them being. Not exactly for kids but definately a much edgier, darker take at the Zone.

I'm weary about buying the "definitive" sets since I already have dozens of volumes from the 1999-onward 3 or 4 episode volume series. New transfers? Baah...not worth paying $100 five times for episodes that I already own. Are the definitives :really: worth paying triple the cost of regular, other series seasons?

I read on the IMDB message board that somebody posted that Mr. Serling did have some problems with CBS reguarding content of the show. Anyone here anything about that?

They also made comic books of them in the 60's - 80's with Rod Serling on the cover. I think I might have had one or two. That'd be fun to check those out again.

I've seen some of the covers to the comics that NOW Comics Co. made, and they look creepy!!! My favorite episode was "A Pitch for the Angels". What's the summery for "The Monsters are Due at Elm Street"? Also can anyone tell me about the new, short-lived series? I heard some of the episodes in it were continuations of old episodes, is this true?

I just got the first 3 seasons on Definitive Edition DVD.. it's really nice to have them all in order, as my VHS copies were taped from various Sci-Fi Channel marathons many years ago and weren't even close to being in order

Been watching a lot of Twilight Zone lately, SciFi has been running marathons quite frequently.

I'm not sure of most of the titles, but I like the episode where a man is imprisoned on a far away planet, and he is granted a lady robot companion. Another episode has a rotten uncle who dies, & leaves everything to his niece who cared for him in hopes to inherit his fortune.

Plus "Time Enough at Last", "The Living Doll", "The Old Man in the Cave", "A Most Unusual Camera" (stars the original Darron), "In His Image" (dude builds robot replicas of himself right? to get everything he didn't have the nerve to get for himself?), and "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" of course!

One of the best shows ever!
