I just registered at www.tv.com, but then I remembered somebody on MC saying that it was not friendly. I haven't opened the confirmation e-mail yet, so I'll wait until this thread gets some replies. That way, I'll know whether or not I want to go through with it.

I don't know about TV.com's friendliness, but I know I hate them because they're run by CNET, and when they bought the original TV Tome site from the webmaster John Nestoriak, they messed it and we now have TV.com.

Why am I so upset about it? Well I was an editor at TV Tome since August 2002 (a few months after it was first open) and I enjoyed the show, people, and movie guides I edited; TV Tome was great, but TV.com is cra-ya-yap!

Yeah TV.com is much harder to get to grips with than TVtome was, they basically took all the content that other people had added, closed the doors and started their new service forgetting those who had worked hard.

I would register though, it isn't going to hurt ya, lol.

No worries; they won't let me start threads, so I say "Screw 'em!"

Well, I started a new account and now magically I'm allowed to start new threads! So, thank you, Luke, for encouraging me to go for it (I'm sure I'll have a good experience). And, Snowthy, I'm sorry about your unpleasant history with TV.com; that sounded very frustrating.

I'm a member there (and have been since the last few days of the Tome), and let me say that the rules that are enforced vary from thread to board to board. For example, the Invader ZIM board may allow off-topic spam, and the Teen Titans board might not. In effect, it all depends on the type of editor each board has.
