I need help, I need to turn a gift box into a talking puppet. Can anyone help with ideas?

This book is unfortunately long out of print, but Lois Walker's "Puppets the Puppcorn Way" has a lot of ideas for "box" puppets if I remember correctly. Check and see if your local library has any of Lois' puppet building books; they are all filled with lots of ideas for puppets made from everyday objects.
