I think it would have been late 60's or early 70's, and maybe instrumental guitar, or harp.

All you saw was a flower opening - and the music played - that was it.

I just loved the music and wanted to have it in my wedding, but no one seems to know anything about it!

I know what your talking about it but I wouldn't be able to record it and put it to a cd or tape. Its in the first season of Sesame Street. If someone could help you this should help them alot more. I hope this helps and when somone sees this they should know what I'm talking about.

I know the music!

I think I know the name of the music. It is part of the "Concerto in D for guitar and strings" by the composer Vivaldi, who also wrote "The Four Seasons." It is the second movement, I believe. This is from the film with close up shots of the yellow flower. The flower didn't actually open, I don't think.

I happened to hear it playing on the radio one day, and I contacted the station to get the name of it. This is a beautiful tune, and was indeed featured in early Sesame Street episodes, as well as the famous "Mr. Hooper's death" episode.

There was another short segment with a flower that opened and closed, but that had a kid voice over. ("The flower is opening. It's opened! Now it's closed, but it will open again sometime.") Congrats on the wedding!
