I watched the Muppet Show's original opener, (from scarecroe's website!)

Hey wait, was that Janice, wearing a dress!

I just can't picture Crazy Harry playing a triangle.

More muppets should be involved, instead, their are only about 15!

I think it's terrible, the second version is heaps better.

I like the season 5 one better. I loved Lips trumpet bit, Statler and Waldorf's line and seeing the audience. Oh, and here's a mistake no one
has ever caught: When the men dance on, Boppity is with them. When
the audience sings, he's there. And there is also a puppet that looks
suspiciously like Kermit... .......
