I'm sorry I couldn't finish the Ed Sullivan TMS Script.
I'm a talented TMS script writer, you know.

"It's The Muppet Show with our very special guest star George Jessel! YEEA!"

STLYE: Very Early Season 5 (circa Loretta Swit)

AIRING DATES: September 14, 1980

PRODUCTION DATES: March 2 - 7, 1980

COLD OPENING

(Pops is trying out his fan, until he hears George going in.)

POPS: "Oh, who are you?"

GEORGE: "George Jessel. I'm going to be the guest on the show."

POPS: "Oh yes. George Jessel. The Theater crew and I are taking a salute to Japan."

GEORGE: "Japan? This is the U.S.A."

POPS: "I know. But the owner of the theater is so rich, he came here and invited some Japanese people."

(Gong music plays, then close-up of George.)

GONZO AT THE BEGINNING OF THE SHOW
Gonzo's horn plays a Japanese Drama Music and blows pink petals.

I'm going to have my dinner, so I'll be back for more.

 

[Dil]

Sometimes, I lack time for finishing my scripts.

I know the feeling Dil. I take a long time working on all my fan fics in general. I like the idea of the Japanese theme though. Keep it up mate

 

[Dil]

Alright, here I go...

CURTAIN

(Kermit wears an ancient Japanese outfit.)

KERMIT: "Thank you, koineeshuwa, and welcome to The Muppet Show! Tonight, we are going to take a salute to Japan."

(Gong plays.)

KERMIT: "With our special guest, none other than Mr. George Jessel! Yes, but before we do that, I want to tell you something. There is a Popular Japanese Cartoon art called 'Anime'. All the way from the Anime lands is hard eggs, who came from a Cherry Tree. Let's give a big hand for the Earth Rollers! YEEAA!"

OPENING NUMBER: I Feel The Earth Move w/ Anime Eggs

(The Eggs with Anime faces sing Carole King's song near a Cherry Tree.)

(The Leadsinger is wearing a yellow scarf, eyes closed delightfully, and a mustache.)

BALCONY

WALDORF: "Well, those eggs sure know how to roll."


STATLER: "I wished I could rock on my chair. Whoever heard of some Rock & Roll?"

(Both laugh.)

I'll be back for more.

It takes a while to figure out what would happen in my Muppet Show Script.

Anyway, Billy Buble Guy, what do you think of that Opening Number that the Anime Eggs did?

Here's the first backstage scene:

BACKSTAGE

(the backstage set is a Japanese theme.)

KERMIT: "OK, nice number, guys, get to your dressing spot."

LEAD-EGG: "Oh, thank you, Mr. Kermit. Can I ask you something?"

KERMIT: "What?"

LEAD-EGG: "My Rock Band and I couldn't go anywhere without our tree. We can't leaf it."

KERMIT: "Gee, I wonder what your name is?"

LEAD-EGG: "My name's Yoshi. I've always wanted to perform with the Muppets."

KERMIT: "Well, you've come to the right place."

SCOOTER: "Hey, boss?"

KERMIT: "Yes?"

SCOOTER: "Who is that cute little fella?"

KERMIT: "He said his name is Yoshi, Scooter. Just Yoshi."

SCOOTER: "Say, Yoshi?"

YOSHI: "Yes?"

SCOOTER: "May I interest you to do something with the guest star?"

YOSHI: "OK. But, who is the guest?"

SCOOTER: "George. George Jessel."

YOSHI: "Say, I've seen him before. I'm a big fan of his! Can I have a light break?"

SCOOTER: "Sure."

(Scooter shoots the light bulb with a gun, which makes the bulb fall and break.)

YOSHI: "My good joke."

 

[Dil]

Can't someone answer me about that opening number on my script?

Here's the next part of my script:

MUPPET SPORTS

LEWIS: "This is Lewis Kazagger from the Japanese islands of Iwo. Here we are at the 8th week of The Solo Wooden Puppet Cannon-Shooting. Here, our current champion Sakahii Dragoon would shoot all of the puppets without missing any."

(Sakahii (Fred the Dragon) would shoot down one of the puppets.)

LEWIS: "That's one puppet down and 8 more to go. This is an exciting Japanese Game, folks!"

(Sakahii would then shoot down another puppet.)

SAKAHII: "Nothin' like a gooood smoke.."

(Smoke comes in to make less accuracy for Sakahii to shoot down the puppets without missing.)

LEWIS: "Uh oh! I think it's nothin' like a BAD smoke."

SAKAHII: "Uhh..."

(Sakahii shoots a cannonball through the smoke, but the cannon ball goes back in the cannon, making it explode.)

SAKAHII: "Omi. Mr. Sir, can you kindly bring me the next.."

(Sakahii faints.)

LEWIS: "That's all today for Muppet Sports."

BALCONY

STATLER: "Hmm, Smoking."

(A Anime Egg with some cigars in his hands pops up.)

ANIME EGG: "Wanna have some smokers?"
