Lothar reprised by Jim.

Catgut would be a special voice cameo by her original voice performer, Phyllis Marshall.

Do you happen to know who the original artists of this song were?

If memory serves, it's from the Broadway musical "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying", written by Abe Burrows (who wrote "A Gypsy's Violin", "When", and "Down Memory Lane" as featured in the Peter Sellers episode, and the "Sea Chanty" that opens the Petula Clark episode).

Hey Dave. I found it positively hilarious that Sam would criticize the other Muppets for consulting Lothar and then ask if he'd ever make the show cultural when no-one else was around. Wouldn't he have felt small if he'd been caught in the act:embarrassed:

Other parts I loved are the hecklers eating chips and drinking soda to the tune of the theme, The Newsman reporting his own misfortune with his chair and the closing Statler and Waldorf with Lothar.

Well like he said he only sees their future. The future that they technically choose to follow by coming to the theater all the time.

Keep up the splendid work Dave

Here's my kind of Kermit's beginning line for this outline:

"It's The Muppet Show with our special guest star Mr. Red Skelton!"

By the way was Red Skelton his real name? It does sound kind of like a stage name.

His actual first name was Richard. The name Red, obviously, came from his red hair (just like Red Buttons, for that matter).
