Tips on Building SST Martians Puppets

Hi all I am new to this site but thought it would be a great place to find out tips on building my yip yip puppets! They are my favourite puppets of all so seems only natural I try to make them any tips would be welcome or stories of how you made yours?

First off, welcome to MC. :big_grin:

These guys should be pretty easy to pull off. I know they're controlled by 2 rods (One for the mouth and the other for the eyes and stabilization).

That part I know I am having problems with the mouth part does anyone know the best way to get the shape I was thinking of stitching in some soft sponge or foam to form the lip bit ?
