Tips For Making A Parrot Puppet?

Hi,

So I decided to try building a puppet like this. At first I wanted to let a professional builder do it, but I wanna try to do it myself first. Tips are very welcome.

I have a few questions.

What is the best way for the foam, cutting the whole parrot out of 1 piece of foam, and then separate the upper beak, lowerbeak and body? Or another method?

How do I put the eyes on it? Are there places to buy eyes like this?

Does someone have patterns for puppets like this? (With beaks and stuff)

Do you guys have some other tips for me?

Yes that was me. But I thought I wanna try it myself since I have a low budget and always wanted to learn building puppets. Do you have tips?

Have you checked out projectpuppet.com

You can purchase patterns from them and they have instructions on adding additional features, in your case a beak.
