tips for Gonzo?

For the carnival party, I have made some muppet costumes last year.

This year, I want to improve my Gonzo.
I have already carved the nose from (polyether) foam, but it is still pale yellow. Can I dye the foam or is it better to cover it with fleece to get the basic peach colour? If dyeing is possible, what (European brand) can I use?
