Has anyone ever seen the documentary MGM:When The Lion Roars Pt.1-3, I watched it on Turner Classic Movies the other night, and at the very end of it, it says MGM is gone. But that's werid because MGM is the now the 5th largest studio in the world. And if I'm not mistaken MGM relesed a few films in 1992(When the documentery was made.)

I haven't been following this at all or read any of the links so if it's old information then apologies, but there was an industry rumor that the Weinsteins are about to partner with Steve Jobs to buy MGM and the deal was very close.
