I remember Thomas and Friends being on PBS Kids weekends and later weekdays.
I also remember before that, I'd just watch Thomas and Friends on VHS. (The old compilations of stories that were released on VHS and DVD in the past For me it was from Seasons 1-5 originally. Now, I try to look for seasons 1-6 home video releases)

My expectations were EXTREMELY low with this! I NEVER expected that footage to see the light of day!

I just really hope fans show their gratefulness with this rather than using this as an opportunity to demand (not ask, DEMAND) more unreleased content like “The Missing Coach” footage and more behind the scenes takes and what have you.

Yeah, I got some Thomas fans getting on my *** over the fact that I questioned the original letter on why this person thought the engines had romantic feelings for each other. They don’t. They’re just aromantic asexual engines who just want to enjoy each other’s company in a friendly way and work.

But of course….. this being the Thomas community, they just HAVE to take my own thoughts on this personally because how DARE you criticize someone’s weird thoughts when it’s publicly uploaded for everyone to see because ultimately there ARE fans that do enjoy shipping the engines (which for the record, I was already aware of this stuff; doesn’t mean I have to like it either, and frankly I find it both stupid and weird because they’re engines). I ended up deleting my original reply because honestly, dealing with the Thomas community is an absolute nightmare and why I’m EXTREMELY independent in this community.

Rambling over. Seeing that letter just struck a nerve with those annoying fans I dealt with that I had to get it off my chest. It didn’t help at all that there was this one fan who was EXTREMELY passive-aggressive saying by my logic, the engines can’t be friends, have desires like a new coat of paint, feel jealous of another engine etc. Not comparable at all. The guy was just playing a game of whataboutism with a pure strawman because I could see he DESPERATELY wanted to shut down my reply.

All that aside though, I do wish Ian all the best with his future. He’s been extremely helpful for both the show and community.

On that note, I was VERY surprised to find out “Drip Tank” was actually considered for season 2 but dropped.

What just baffles me though is why it was listed as episode 16 since it serves as part two from Percy’s quarrel with Thomas in “Thomas, Percy and the Coal” AKA “Double Trouble” in America.

Similarly though, the scrapyard in season 2 had it listed as “episode 13” in concept art when “Saved from Scrap” ended up being episode 4, so…… 🤷‍♂️

I’ve always enjoyed the original British TV series before it evolved into Shining Time Station. Nonetheless, never would’ve guessed that Joe Raposo wrote the theme. I must admit it’s hard to decide whether I preferred Ringo Starr over George Carlin as Mr. Conductor. They were both fantastic in their own way. Someone on YouTube overdubbed George Carlin‘s dirty stand up comedy over a few Thomas episodes a while back. Yeah, some fans out are a bunch of egomaniacs and malcontents. Don’t let them throw you off, they’re just ignoramuses that don’t have a lot going for them.

The Thomas community is divided by these groups of people far as I'm concerned:

Cool people

Cool creative people

Creative people who are narcissistic and need constant praise for it

Immature fans who will argue over stupid things like which narrator is better or which toy brand is superior or what seasons should be classic and which shouldn't, etc.

Those who make extremely low-effort content and wonder why they get no views (while others DO make low-effort content and yet still get tons of views anyway).

Gate-keepers *cough* SiF

Sheep who can't form their own opinions and just base them off "popular" Thomas users.

The Thomas community is 10x worse than the Sesame Street community is far as I'm concerned.
