Actually Mean Mama or Big Mama,made her first appearance in the Don Knotts,Beast of the Week sketch.I think she was a puppet in that sketch.

Yes, her first appearance was in the Don Knotts episode, but the Julie Andrews episode was the first time that she was a full-body character, rather than a puppet.
