Well, I guess I'd better post this thread before mikealan beats me to it. Here are some J-sponsored segments I recall:

1 J Friends. This classic song can be found on the album The Sesame Street Muppets' Alphabet Album.
2 J Jump. This is another classic early SS song, but with live action film clips.
3 This is My J. Sung by Biff at the construction site whilst a lower case j is hoisted higher and higher by a crane.
4 The J-Family Job Jamboree. This is an animated song about a family where all the members have jobs that begin with the letter J. For example, the singer's brother flies a jet plane; his nephew drives a jeep; Junior, the singer's son, is a jitterbug; and the singer's sister juggles sheep.
5 J Jaguar. This animated short segment is part of the limerick series. The voice sounds the letter J first, then says "Jaguar". After that, jigsaw puzzle pieces fit themselves in place until we see a jaguar in its native jungle. The jaguar lets out a feline roar before the voice says its intro a second time.
Do you guys have any memories related to this joyous jokeful letter J?
always thought that J song with Biff was stupid. though it was funny when the J fell to the ground.

On the contrary. Sully was there. He way giving signals to the guy controlling the crane to bring the J higher or lower. However the video ends in tragedy. When the lunch whistle rings, everyone except Sully leave causing the J to fall to the ground with a CRASH! Sad isn't it?

I definately remember the one with Biff. I believe that was one of his few appearances without Sully.

I remember the classic J is for Jump cartoon with the J flinging paint at another poor J and then spells the word Joke. But did you know that there was a Spanish version of it too? It had the same animation, but with different music and the J words were in Spanish. And it ended with j a j a j a instead of joke.

Also they just recently made a new J cartoon called The Jumping J. It showed a lowercase j jumping up and down while someone was singing a jazzy song. Then it showed a jaguar, jackrabbit, jaybird, and jackal all jumping with the jumping J.

small j

Yes, Xerus, I too remember the "Small J" with the j getting paint thrown on him, and being used to make words like jump, juggle, jumble, and joke.

Then the Spanish version (jota minuscula), which doesn't translate as well, but has been used a lot more.

The English version RULES though, because it had that super-hip jazzy music.
I was a bit disappointed that Noggin never brought this one back. Maybe someday, though
