I remember The Beetles did two parodies of hits by The Beatles, which were "Letter B" and "Hey Food" (the latter with Cookie Monster).

But one song the Beetles caught me off guard and it was "Thinking of U". Was that ever a parody of a Beatles song, and if not, what song was it a parody of and by whom? I don't recall hearing any song by The Beatles that sounded like "Thinking of U".

There’s a theory that it was a parody of “P. S. I Love You”, but there’s no sound-alike melody like there is in “Letter B” or “Hey Food”. So I guess we’ll never know for sure. Tony Geiss wrote that song, not Christopher Cerf.

All this time, I assumed there was a Beatles song called "Thinking of You" because of this. It would make sense.
