The Yoshi Thread!

Since we've already driven two threads off-topic about Yoshi talk, let's do it all here!

Well it all started when I decided to have a Yoshi avatar and change the color of the Yoshi each day for every Yoshi that's know to exist...

1. Green (Last Friday)
2. Red (Last Saturday)
3. Blue (Sunday)
4. Yellow (Monday)
5. Pink (Tuesday)
6. Light Blue (Wednesday)
7. Black (Thursday)
8. White (Friday)
9. Purple (Saturday)

And one more to go tomorrow!

I don't know... one of my New Year Resolutions was to not change my avatar (or sig) unless it's a special occasion (like a holiday or whatnot)... I actually don't know what brought on this Yoshi avatar thing really. `

I actually have a weird story on how I got into Yoshi...

When I was in Grade 3 (or Grade 4) there was this one guy in my class whom I never really got along with and he was like a Nintendo freak and collected a lot of merchandise like beanies, and one day out of the clear blue he asked me if I wanted to play with him and our friends (because he and I had the same friends though him and I just never clicked) at recess so I accepted. We were going to play "Yoshi Tag" and we each got a Yoshi beanie (I got blue since blue was my favorite color) and we all played tag with those Yoshi beanies and I found these little guys interesting; and at that time just about everyone (including me) was playing Super Mario World and Mario getting a different Yoshi in each world (not to mention Yoshi's Story which came out shortly after that). I actually managed to find the same beanies on eBay years later (because they were actually hard to find because they were rare) and I now have green (with red shoes), red, and yellow Yoshis but still can't seem to get ahold of blue Yoshi.

Well, that's my Yoshi story. *shrugs*

Great story D'Sonwth! I've never heard of Yoshi tag before. It's interesting that you can't find that blue one. I hope that you can find it one day.
