Yay! Progressive music!

"Capricorn Dancer"
-Richard Clapton.
Funny that, Me and my friend were discussing forming a prog band earlier today. He Plays keys, I can Play guitar, Synth, Scream and play clarinet, and we could probably get his sister on the cello and a bass player. Then we would need a singer and a drummer :sing::halo::cool:

I could be the singer! Lol, no, just kidding, I fail at singing, I shouldn't even kid about such things. XD But yeah, do it! Sounds awesome! Any kind of era or mixed-in genre?

I dunno, I mean, I like albums that tell a story, and symphonic elements, But I do wanna do something like Opeth with the clean/dirty vocal swapping, and the Clean/Distorted guitar bits that go off on Pink Floydianly long improvisations. As a Guitarist, I tend to get most inspiration/style from Classical Music and Blues, so scales would be around them. Even though I play metal when I am by myself, it all fits together.

Kings of The Carnival Creation- Dimmu Borgir
ICS Vortex has the best clean vocals ever. Period.

Yeah, it all really fits together, and it's all inspired by classical music and the blues. It's weird, because some people I know are like, "prog... that's not music", which is total crap. I mean, when my brother first heard Pink Floyd's dark Side of The Moon (AWESOME album, btw) he's like, "it's not music, it's just... sounds". Not true. Secondly, Pink Floyd isn't All Sounds, fer the record, they have brilltastic musos involved and Roger Waters writes amazing lyrics (as did Syd Barrett in the earlier years). But personally, I adore prog. Old and new, really. But my faves are Floyd, King Crimson, ELP, Yes... all that classic 70s stuff. And good luck!

Well, I've spat out enough lyrics in my time, At the moment I am writing lyrics for a friend, cause he has a song with no name or lyrics.

Right now I am listening to:

B*****ds of Bodom- Children of Bodom
