it was a bunch of movies like mulan, fox and hound dalmations, some other film i forget i saw it at best buy in like 2001 2002

Commercial DVD's can hold up to 4 hours of material on a dual-layer disc. Any more than that and they would have to use too much compression on the video.

I'd buy that set in a second, no matter the cost. There's so much Muppety/Jim Henson goodness I've yet to see!
