"What is brown and sticky" huh? Well that, my friend, is not a joke. It is a simple question and one of those lousy, meaningless questions that no one cares to know the answer to. And besides brown is an ugly color, if you can call it a color, and sticky is just really annoying. And so are you. Now I want my money and if you're not giving them to me... and don't ever call me missy.

Yeah I am a custodian as in janitor. When I worked at a school all my other co-workers DESPISED the word janitor. My boss, the head custodian, told me when I first started ,"We don't like the 'j' word here." A few years later he even changed the plate on his door from "Head Custodian" to "Facilities Coordinator". Reminded me of Art Carney in a "Honeymooners" episode. He played Ed Norton who was a sewer worker. When someone asked him what he did for a living he said, "I am an engineer in subterranean sanitation." And once I was standing next to another custodian and a student came up and asked him, "Are you the janitor?" and he replied, "No I'm the CUSTODIAN." I never took janitor as an insulting word or derogatory (although I DO feel bad about not being more of a success in life like the rest of my family). If a student ever asked me if I was the janitor I would say yes. Didn't bother me.
And sometimes when people have asked me what my occupation is I have said, "I am a DJ." And they look surprised and say, "Really?" And I say, "Yep. A dumb janitor." keeheeheeheehee!
