OK here's an oldie. I was thinking of the sketch involving a bunch of what appeared to be tennis balls that talked. But since they all looked the same, nobody knew one from the other or who each other was. The wife couldn't find her husband, I think their was a postman and a few kids. Along came Ernie to help out and dress each ball to their respective characters. After they were all dressed appropriately, now everyone knew who everyone was. I think the wife said "Hi husband"! Am I confusing 1 sketch with another?

ernie was wondering what if everything was the same and the rest you mentioned went as follows though they weren't tennis balls.

I think someone mentioned that they also used them for the Zizzy Zoomers.

Yes, there was a Mommy, Daddy, and Junior ball (all with appropriate hats and wigs) and a mailman ball who had a letter for Daddy. Then at the end the Mommy invited them all to have some lemonade. Ain't it groovy?
