How awesome... it would've been so great had that show gotten picked up! I imagine Richard did a really good job in it.

I believe I read somewhere that the pilot aired on TV once, along with several other unsold pilots. Puppetman was given nearly the highest marks by the audience. Sheesh, you ever get the feeling the TV people just aren't listening to us? lol

Haha... I think the TV people think they know what people want, but they definitely don't always! But yeah, since the show pretty much got the highest marks... that would be TV people not listening! *Sigh* Kinda annoying, but hey, what can ya do? Hmmm.... maybe WE should've been the TV people instead! We'd know a good thing when we saw it!

So you get the impression that the high muckety-mucks in television don't listen to us...too true, too true. If they did listen to us, there'd be more than just mindless sitcoms and reality shows on the tube these days. But the higher-ups are just concerned with money.

And I wonder how the guys at the networks that rejected the Muppets felt after TMS really took off? Probably felt like the record companies who initially rejected the Beatles...

Oh yes, "guitar groups are on their way out, Mr. Epstein!" Heh, Dick Rowe was probably thinking Elvis was going to continue being the wave of the future. But you never can tell!

I've read books about the entertainment industry; apparently the "higher ups" tend to think they know a hit from a miss. But there's always a nagging doubt, because there have been so many surprises throughout history. And those surprises scare them, because it means they don't have things as figured out as they like to think.

I wish somone here were a tv person too, Carrie! But If they don't stick with what works and play if safe and always go with somthing that's just more marketable over substance, they really do have their jods to think about. Unfortionatly, it's the sad truth about television.

Yeah, I'd like to think Heaven is a place where (among other things of course) you can watch all the decent unsold TV shows on a regular basis. Lol

If heaven is where you can watch all the decent unsold shows, then would the warm place down below be the place where you have to watch all the horrible and overhyped shows that are on the tube these days? (And I pray that none of us will ever be in a position to find out.)

Hey all! Well, i can definitely say that i am a big fan of Richard Hunt's work from Junior Gorg to Janice to Charlie Beaver. He put such extraordinary Energy into his characters and even though we never got to meet i really do miss him. I'm sure now that both Richard and Jim are making the angels smile as much as they made us.
