Boober's quite the prima donna in those clips...and he does sound a tad like Gonzo.

I just want to know where Jim was during this silliness...unless he just let the others have free rein...and was that Gerry Parkes walking in front of the set early on in the second clip?

Yeah that's definitely Gerry Parkes, it looks like he's looking for his dog (aww). I loved Richard as the director; he put a lot of detail into the performance, which is great! It makes sense they'd be poking fun, since he'd just directed the second-to-last episode of FR. I love that song too, very touching!

The ending is sort of odd with the blank screen, but based on things I've read, I think I figured it out. They must have shown this video at the wrap party, obviously. So when Gobo and Wembley say they've joined the party at the end, the reason you only hear their voices is because Jerry and Steve are performing the actual puppets at the actual party. Then as we saw, Red, Boober and Mokey ducked down out of the shot. They then must have "reappeared" at the actual party with their performers, so they could all sing the song. Did that make sense? lol

Assuming no one has or will ziffle me, I'm pushing this baby to 200!
I'm sorry, but I don't think my conscince will allow me to watch the Fraggle Rock vidio. I don't mean to ruin anyone's fun, but I just feel that there might be something, (more personally than legally) violating about it being so openly available. That being saaid, glad you all injoyed it!
That clip with Forgetful was sweet, and seems vaguely familiar. Is it possible that someone may have posted the link to it before? On a sadder note though, it kind of got me thinking. Heralde, you said that it was funny that Daniela seemed to be more intent on Richard than Forgetful. Watching the clip, I was thinking of how great an experience that must have been for her, and how much she must have admired, or at least been fascinated with Richard and what he was doing. You know, how he was getting Forgetful to talk and move, Etc.
Since you were saying before that Forgetful was big in the 80's, I'm assuming that Richard died soon afterwards. Even so, no matter when it was, his time with the muppets and on eardh for that matter was relatively short. Back to the subject at hand though, the skit was so simple, silly and happy, and not long after things just changed so much... She didn't get to do much growing up in the eye of one of her idles. Know what I mean?

I totally understand what you mean, FM. I was definitely hesitant when I saw someone posted the video on youtube. I didn't see the harm in just mentioning it was there, though I did apologize in case it was a problem. But I totally understand your position.

I don't know if the Forgetful Jones skit was posted before, maybe on one of the other youtube threads on the forum. Yeah, it is a very sweet moment. Well, for how ever long we are on the Earth, what's important is how much we contribute to those around us.

Oh yeah, that made perfect sense. That's kinda what I was thinking, too. And I liked how the words appeared near the end like that, too. My computer can be kinda weird sometimes, so when the blank screen showed up, I was like... uh-oh, haha. But when I thought about it, I figured it was that, too... that they were performing at the party. That definitely sounds like it was a very cool little touch!

Kate, you're right, that is sad to think about. But, just like heralde said, it's not about how long people are here, it's about the difference that they make in people's lives while they're here. And Richard definitely touched a lot of lives, and left many people around the world with so many wonderful memories.

I understand and agree with what you both said about the memories people leave. My meaning may have gotten a bit muddled though. I mostly meant how something so happy can turn into something so sad very quickly
A bit offtopic, and I didn't really want to compare the two, but I also got sort of the same feeling from Lisa's, A Heart of Gold. I don't know if any of you have read it, but it's a beautiful story and I highly recomend it! Anyway, without giving too much away, Kermit goes through a traumatic experience and becomes depressed. His life, and the lives of the others, are changed, and I found it somewhat comparable to my feelings during the Forgetful clip. Know what I mean now?

I haven't read the fanfic you mentioned, but I think I understand. It's one of the most frustrating parts of this world. Something comes into our lives and for awhile, everything seems perfect. Then suddenly one day, without fail and for whatever reason, it's gone. It's like nothing good can truly last in this world. It's hard to understand why. Perhaps it's so we'll learn to appreciate these things more when we have them. Wow, that was very philosophical there! Um, anyone else have any thoughts?
