I guess maybe Richard handed the reins over to some of the resident performers because, let's face it, making multiple round trips between New York and Toronto several times a month, probably either by car or train, had to have been a bit taxing.

Yeah, I loved Richard doing those characters with Wembley. Well, Richard did hand over the reins of the Storyteller to Terry, as we all know. Plus, he hated doing the Storyteller, if I'm not mistaken, haha. I'm not really sure about any other specific time, but I agree that he must have. It would be way too hard otherwise.

Yeah, MBM, I noticed that. Silly Beau. It's kinda sad it's been so dead over at SWAEHB, but it is awesome that our club here has exploded the way it has!

I know that the Second Season of Fraggle Rock isn't even officially out yet (September 5, yay!), but I really hope Season Three is put on DVD too at some point. Because I'd really like to see the "Wembley and the Mean Genie" episode. It's one of the few episodes I clearly remember watching as a child.

It's one of the more frightening stories but it's got a good message. You have to stand up for yourself against evil, otherwise it will grow.

Oh, that is good. I know I would really love to see the episode, "Gone, But Not Forgotten" with Mudwell. I never have before, and it sounds so sad, but like it would be a really good episode, too. And with a good message as well. That does seem to be something that show is good at, understandably.

Yeah, "Gone But Not Forgotten" is another one I'd love to see.

I had no idea when I was first watching Fraggle Rock how deep a show it was, though I was aware it was a bit unusual. I wish I had been old enough to fully understand back then lol.

Haha, I know it. I wasn't expecting it to be so deep either... that surprised me, too. I was a little worried about just how unusual it would be, but it's perfect. I'm just glad that it's coming out on DVD so that we all can see it and really appreciate it now!

What's weird is, some of the most moralistic and well written TV programs happen to be kid's shows. I suppose there is more emphasis on making sure kid's grow up well.

Then we become adults and, with few exceptions, our entertainment shows become less and less moral and clever. I guess it's assumed adults don't require lessons in morality once they grow up (Ha!).

You're so right. I have noticed that, and it is really funny. I think that's why running into a show like Fraggle Rock right now is such a breath of fresh air for me.

I know; most of the shows on the tube these days are so STUPID.

Richard didn't really like doing the Storyteller? That's odd; where'd you hear that, Skye? Because it sounded to me like he was having fun with her.
Then again, maybe doing the Storyteller's voice was kinda rough on his voice or something. I wouldn't doubt it; toward the end of the ballad of Sir Blunderbrain it sounded like he was struggling a bit to hold that last note. I certainly would.

Oh yeah, I definitely enjoyed hearing him do the Storyteller, too. But I believe I read that in the interview with Terry Angus on this website, Erin. I remember being surprised by that, too.
