Yeah, the two of them nearly drove Jocelyn Stevenson mad with their jokes. So she worked her frustration into the plot of the FR episode "Scared Silly."

You're right, heralde - it was pretty brazen of Dave to sprinkle salt (or was it sugar? I forget) into Richard's mouth while he was sleeping. I mean, Richard was taller than Dave, he could probably run pretty fast...and he was wearing the lower half of the Sweetums suit, which would have made for quite a few Kodak moments.

I'm very cheerful indeed. I have purchased a new brand of anti-virus protection for my computer which I'm told is even better than the type I've always used before. And it really seems to work very efficiently for certain. :super:

Nice to hear from you again, Rax!
Thanks. I'm still here. I'm very busy, but I try to keep up, reading all new posts in this particular thread.

I watched The Bunny Picnic last week, and Richard's so funny. I was thinking how much I miss Richard and Jim. It's so strange to miss people I've never met, but on the other side... well, actually it's not.

Gr, Rax

Nice to see you back, Rax. And Marty, hope the antivirus software works out - it is annoying to have some worm or malicious application lurking on your hard drive.

Don't feel like it's strange at all, Rax - most of us here never got to meet Richard while he was alive, but we got to know him through all of the characters he did. So it's only natural that we'd miss him, even though we never actually met him.

I think someone called Richard "the best friend I never met" or something like that.

Yeah. It can be the same experience with authors of some books you particularly enjoy. Sometimes you feel like you know them intimately through their writings.

And thank you for your well wishes Erin.

You're quite welcome.

I saw a really good quote on the site bookcrossing.com. I don't remember the exact wording, but it said that you know you really enjoyed a book when you wish you could call the author up on the phone or go out for coffee with him or her.

And that's the way it is with Muppet fans and the Muppet performers - we all wish we could meet them. In fact, one TMS guest star (might have been Linda Lavin) lamented that she couldn't go out for coffee with the Muppets the way she could with a human actor.

Oh cool, I loved Bunny Picnic, I'm trying to make it an Easter tradition (Well you know it does have bunnies in it hehe). Lugsy is sort of what most character actors enjoy playing, more than the standard hero role, because they tend to be a little more complicated and go through a variety of emotions the typical hero can't go to.

I absolutely agree with that quote; I've experienced that many times after reading books or watching a performance. At the William Patterson event, I thanked Michael Davis for focusing so much on Richard Hunt in his book and I think he really appreciated that I'd noticed. It would have been nice to have more time to get further into detail.
