Water polo in the living room...wonder what that must have looked like?

It's kinda funny, ya know, to hear Richard shift back and forth between Tug's voice and Scooter's voice. (And wow, Scooter's really putting on the tough act in that scene. "Get down in that basement!")

Well I guess it's kind of the same relationship Scooter had with Bean, he didn't like getting stuck babysitting the little kids, especially ones that stole the spotlight!

And in this clip, the narrator of the animated Animal segment might sound familiar! (Btw Animal looks completely adorable lol)

Time to bump the thread up, we're slipping...

Yeah, Tug's kind of the lovable, dim type - Richard played a lot of those in his career, along with the tough guys, the smart-alecks, and the brainy but still endearing types.

And yes, why did Scooter get stuck with minding the manic little hairballs? Either the Muppets all drew straws and Scooter got the short one...or the others caught on soon enough to make themselves scarce.

Maybe they made Scooter do it because he was the youngest and felt he needed the experience. It's like the young kid paying dues in the industry.

Yeah Scooter's unfortunately sort of stuck in Muppet limbo. Too old to be cute like Robin the Frog, and too young to get out of babysitting the youngsters. Sort of like in that Children's Songs and Stories with the Muppets video, he wants to be treated like a talented mature adult, but then also gets jealous when sweet little Robin hogs all the grown ups' attention.

Aw! Poor scoots, hehe! And it's true that he wants to prove to Kermit and the other that he is mature and can handle more responsibility. But the being jealous of robins attention sounds very Richard like to me.

Yeah, Scooter's stuck with the usual problem of being a teenager: too old to be the center of all the adults' attention, and too young to (according to the adults) to take on big responsibilities.

It's the same at every family reunion. The littlest kid always gets all the attention, and the bigger kids and the teens have to fend for themselves. I remember when the entire family descended upon my grandmother's place in NJ for her 75th birthday...my youngest cousin was 2 at the time, and the adults all lavished their attention on her. The rest of us kids ranged in age from 7 to 16 (I was 11 and a half), and we were mostly left to our own devices.

Sorry I didn't get to wish you luck, MN! I've been so exhausted this past week, lol. I'm really glad it all went well; I'm sure you did fine in the presentation.

Comparing doozer and fraggle judicial systems is a great idea. I recall in the "Red Handed" episode they had three random Fraggles chosen to be Venerable Sages simply because they were the first ones to show up! But then they were oddly responsible, insisting Red produce evidence before she convicted Mokey of a crime.

Wow...what do you know...

...Way down in the basement, everybody knows...

Guess who!

Aargh! Didn't know about that one. What season is that episode from? If it's Season 4 then I'll just cut it from my analysis. But if it's in the first three, then I'll add that to my watch list.
