OMG, OMG! Hehe sorry, but something else just came up. I was watching one of my Sesame Street DVDs, "Sing Along." I got to the very end when the cast sings "What's the Name of That Song?" and the show fades out to the credits. During the fadeout there's this little bit of ad libbing between a kid and Biff. An antenna falls and some kids laugh at Biff, who is very upset. You hear a kid saying to Biff, "You call yourself a repair man?" and you hear Biff answer, "No a Republican! I call myself a Republican!" I already knew about that exchange; I've heard it many times. But this time...I thought I heard something else. I wasn't sure but...maybe...So I tried listening again. And there it was, definitely.
Richard could also be heard in the background saying, "You busy after the show?" LOL
Sounds kinda random. But I thought about it and it actually makes sense. The whole little ad lib exchange always sounded kinda weird like they'd dubbed it in. So it was probably done in the recording studio while the company laid down the track for "What's the Name of that Song?" before filming took place. When Richard said that it sounded slightly far away like he was moving away from a microphone. And if you look at the actual scene, none of the kids actually seem to say "You call yourself a repairman?" None of the lip movements quite fit.
So I think while in the studio recording the track, the actors tried to stick in some extra dialogue that later ended up on the show. But evidently Richard was not paying attention, lol, and we ended up with "You busy after the show?" LOL
Wow, of all days to suddenly hear that.
