I had a Richard-related dream last night, probably brought on by my watching three episodes of Fraggle Rock before turning in. And it was freaky with a capital F.
The dream involved me being transported from my family's house to the show's set. It was a taping day, so all the cast and crew were there, and Richard was the first one I saw. I first saw him down in the Muppeteers' trench with the others, and then over watching a playback with Jim Henson (much the way it happened in the documentary).
However, the show itself resembled one of the more bizarre episodes of the Muppet Show; there was a female guest star wearing this lilac sequined octopus costume. There was also a Muppet that kind of looked like a cross between Wayne and an anteater.
Later on, elsewhere on the set, a bunch of cast and crew were playing an impromptu game of baseball (using oversized gumballs instead of baseballs). The Muppeteers, Richard included, were sitting off to one side on some bleachers, and they were holding baseball bats over their heads and throwing out some good-natured taunts. On the "field," it's a dog (probably Sprocket) who's up to bat, and it rounds the bases before taking a flying leap straight over the bleachers and landing in a huge puddle of muddy water. The splash sends up a huge wave and soaks Richard and the others.

Something else...somewhere else on the set, sometime earlier, Richard was getting a haircut from someone. Nothing extreme, just a trim. There were a few ringlets of his hair on the floor as a result, and I quietly crept over and picked one or two of them up.

And I'm willing to bet that Scooter didn't really get the joke either. I had to get my mother, who did get it, to explain it to me.

In the skit, Fozzie gave his name as Mike Oznowizcky (sp). That is a Polish name.
The skit was referring not to a tall wooden tower for phone lines, but to someone from Warsaw or Krakow. Does that help?
Ohhhh, lol, I can't believe I didn't get that!

Awesome dream, MuppetNewsgirl. Next time, make sure you go up and talk to him. Make sure to say "MeepBorkMeep says Hi".

Muppet Newsgirl, it sounds like we both spent last night doing similar things... I also watched about three episodes of Fraggle Rock. That's a really cool and interesting dream you had. Kinda strange, also... but we love the strange stuff!

Next time I run across Richard during my REM cycle, I'll see what I can do. If he appears, it's usually during the early morning hours. And I hope he brings Scooter with him; he and I are overdue for a little chat.

Oh, it's just dreaming, really. When someone is in REM sleep, it just means they're dreaming.

So everyone, did our REM cycles treat us to any Richard tonight/last night?

Nope. Of course not. He only either makes fake appearances in mine, or isn't acting like Richard at all. However, he hurled me towards lightning, so score!

Nothing notable. I just have memories of a lot of gray haze and a decrepit old brick building, with "Another Brick in the Wall" blaring in the background.
