Thank you everybody. We're both making the most of our time together.

Last night I went out to a barbecue the Bishop put on for our Catholic youth. Good turn-out. When I got home I was watching a couple of Sailor Moon episodes with the intention of reviewing them but halfway through the second one I just had to turn off the DVD and shut my eyes. The next thing I knew it was 1 am and I felt I'd be better off turning out the lights and going to bed which I did. I woke up at 6 and logged on so obviously I needed the sleep. But I'll watch more of it today and post my next commentaries on them tonight. I know Ed is as eager for me to finish the reviews off as I am.

I will seriously try to fix things up sometime this year, but at least I'm still on as often as I can.

Yeah, heralde, I always go somewhere with the mind set expecting the worse and a little nervous. Somedays you just feel like staying in bed. But then your relise that things really arn't as bad as you make them out to be and you just let go of all those negative feelings and open yourself up and you can have a good time and relise the people and things really aren't as bad as you make them out to be.

Marty, we're glad your on here when you can be! And we love when you are, too!

Yeah, that's something I need to work on. I always thinks bad things will happen, even though I'm proven wrong most of the time. As weird as it sounds, it's more comforting to think the worst than take a chance and be positive.

I guess sometimes it's good to fear the worst. in a way it kind of makes you more calm and prepared it it should happen. It makes you think a little and a little more caucious. You know, somtimes whan you think for the best, it just kind of set's you up for dissapoitment later. It's kind of like whem you do it like it can't get to you or dissapoint you as much. when you're open minded for anything to happen like that, it like you can't come out upset and if it's better that that it can only get better form there. That's kind of how I view it. It's kind of not just as not as in your face as much...It doesn't take you by suprise or at least not in the same way other wise, you know?

Exactly. I know a lot of people would prefer to think that the worst will happen so that if something really good happens instead, they'll be pleasantly surprised. Which makes sense... heck, I used to be like that, too. But now.... yeah, now I'm annoyingly optimistic!! I just love being a little silly and I do love being optimistic despite the negative things that can happen sometimes. I still believe that wonderful things will happen in the end!

I get what you're saying. I said before that being negative can often be comforting. I should have added that that doesn't mean it's right. It's true that you won't get hurt as much if you anticipate the worst. But it also means you won't get to experience the good in life, because you were too afraid it would be bad. Sometimes you have to take the chance.

Well I find that somtime fighting off those negetive felings is kind of hard somtimes. But I come in expacting the good with the bad because you can never tell what oit going to happen. I just try to be creaful.

But somtimes it just depends on the circumstance. I just try to be creaful. But I also believe that if you come in with a winning attitude, then you will leave out with one. Somtime failing just fules me and inspires me to want to keep going. The more you do it the better it becomes. A lot of times I start out with a negative attitude, but end up with a good one by the end. I have to be draged somtimes but once I get in there I really start developing a positive attitude and really liking and enjoying and gitting into what I'm doing and I can relax and have a good time. That's how it usually is for me. The shy person sitting in the corner, then the out going person having a good time with everybody else and enjoying himself their company.

That's very true, we don't realize how much power we have over our own lives. If we constantly get depressed or defeated, that's how it will often end up. If we try and be positive, we can make things better. Of course, disapointments will happen, that's a given. It's how you handle it that really matters.

I'm sort of like that too, I have to be forced into a situation, but once I'm there, it's usually fine. Hopefully as we get older and mature, that starts to change as we learn from experience.

Yeah, I used to think that made a lot of sense. But I started to realize I was causing myself unneeded stress. Sometimes you just have to buck up and hope for the best! Sometimes things won't work out, but at least you were brave enough to take the chance. :halo:

That's just right, heralde. I'm a big one in believing that there's no point in causing yourself extra stress. And you're right, sometimes you do just need to go all out and take a chance. Just try to enjoy it and live life as best you can because... that's what it's there for!

And like William said, it's good to be a little careful. Sometimes it's great to be as optimistic as I like to be, but other times it is better to be a little cautious. I believe that it's all about trying to do as many things as you can that make you happy, and in a way that you know will help you stay that way!
