Really love to see how Richard does as Gillis Fraggle...
You will. Love it, I mean. Because Gillis is awesome.

I've gotta do a fanfic about Gillis sometime...

But I don't think she's biased or anything like that, of course. I'm very much looking forward to checking out Gillis, as well.

Guys, I have to be honest; I don't really know what to say at this point. Will, it was a bit funny though how you came in before, sounding like you had been through the wars!
I just wanted to say this kind of odd thing that happend to me, that I believe in a strange way is related to this occurance. I had gone to bed early last night, which I knew was a mistake, because when I did that, I usually woke up too early. Some time between 3 and 4 this morning, I woke up and could not get back to sleep. I thaught about coming on here, but decided against it; I wish I did now! Anyway, since their is really not much logical explination for it, I believe it was just my MC sense tingling! Either that, or one of our dearly departed Henson friends was trying to tell me something was going on.
*wink*
Yeah I got caught in the middle of the crossfire and didn't know what was going on.

But that is a strange story, though.

Ugh, hate those computer problems, ilikethemuppets! And good luck, Matt!

I just borrowed Caroll Spinney's book and found the Richard reference everyone was talking about a few posts back. As everyone said, Caroll was having trouble because he was always being given dance numbers when he wasn't too good at it. Richard told him to pretend Big Bird was "a great dancer, the best dancer in the world. Pretend he can dance." And his advice worked. I believe the title of the chapter was "Pretend you can dance."

That seems to sum up what people said about Richard. His method of performing was just to go ahead and do it, don't worry about looking silly or making a mistake. Being too nervous will just sabotage your efforts.

Richard's also mentioned in other chapter, apprently it was Caroll's 15th anniversary with Sesame Street and Richard suggested Jim throw a party for him.

That's a great story. I love Richard's advice. And you couldn't have been more right here. This really does sum up what Richard was like. And it's something that I love about him so much. I love that attitude. It's an attitude that everyone can, and probably should, adopt. I love it. Have I mentioned that I love it?

I rather liked reading Karen Prell's account of Richard's tough love attitude: "I don't know if I can do this..." "Ah, shut up and go for it!"

I had a paper assignment this morning, and I was a little jittery over it. So I wrote "Shut up and go for it" in my reporter's notebook before heading out. I think it helped.
