Yeah it's understandable, he had one of those deep voices. (I wonder if that's why they occasionally put Gladys in those girly hats, just to avoid confusion!)

Though it worked well Janice. I liked what Jerry Nelson said in an interview, "He made her such a gal." :flirt:

Oh absolutely, it worked perfectly with Janice! Hehe, I love the voice he did for her. That is a great quote from Jerry... and Richard sure did, didn't he?

Yup, and I like the way several of Jerry and Richard's characters are such good friends, like Floyd and Janice, Biff and Sully, and the Two-Headed Monster.

Right, and Robin and Sweetums, and Gunge and the Trash Heap, and Gobo and Junior Gorg...okay, so we're sorta pushing it on that.

Yeah, Janice became a lot cooler after Richard took her over. Let's face it; when it came to playing Janice, the best woman for the job was a man.

Exactly. I love how Richard and Jerry would work together like that so often. They did it so well. Not to mention when their characters would sing a song together... wow! Talk about perfect.

I loved their harmony with whatnot characters. They were amazing! Like in "Jump Shout Boogie" in the Ben Vereen episode, and "Fit as a Fiddle" in the...well pro'ly the Gene Kelly episode.

Oh yeah, his Janice was certainly girly. Not in voice (even though my voice is about as low as that), but definitely in personality. He definitely had that Heights-Ashbury accent down.

EDIT: I forgot, have any of you checked out the Hey Food clip on You Tube? I don't know if someone already posted about it, but Richard's got his own little solo. Plus, you know, the clip is awesome. I'd post the link, but I'm lazy. Just search for Hey Food, it should be the first one there.

I also loved them doing 'Searchin' from the Valerie Harper episode. And I read somewhere that Richard played both of the Whatnot sleuths. Also loved 'Jump Shout Boogie;' that was certainly a vocal workout for them...and let us not forget 'Just One Person.'

Hey, guys, did you notice something? Up in the Headlines, TV Appearances and Feedback threads, someone is posting anti-MC rants and yelling at other members to not post here anymore.

He did? Wow. I thought so, cause they were lip synching at exactly the same time. Wasn't one of the voices John Lovelady though? They could have done Jerry twice, or even Richard twice, but I don't think they knew how back then.

Really? Ooh...I'm gonna check this out.

Yes, both Mariane and I are very evil indeed. The little imp in me is jumping up and down to go check it out, too!
