Has anyone noticed The Muppet Show has been remastered to HD on Disney+? The framerate has been changed as well. This doesn't sound good for a show that was shot on tape.

Apparently they've been erasing more arm rods again as well.

But yeah, videotape was always intended to be standard definition, so it's not like it can be remastered into HD without actually up-converting it, which is, unfortunately, going to distort it somewhat; unlike film, which actually has a natural resolution that's even higher than HD, it's just technology has only been able to catch up to it - in fact, 8K is the closest we've come so far to matching film's resolution.

That's false.

I also don't really care for what they did; frame rate is lessened, the coloring is weird sometimes, for some reason the episodes are slightly lower thus are a minute longer than all other sources, and whatever noise-canceling they did the audio makes it sound tinny. I feel like they did the work on one episode, then just applied the same settings to everything.
