Can anybody list the endings of all of the skits with Ernie and lefty, mainly by whether lefty made a sale or how lefty didn't make a sale?

Here are the endings that I do know of: (If you don't want to knwo how any segments ended, then stop reading this thread)
Invisible ice Cream Cone: Ernie paid for it with an invisible nickle.
Painting of Four Elephants: Ernie bought it, tried to pull the trick on Bert, but the gag backfired.
Empty Box: Ernie didn't have any money left, but bert bought a box of cookies, which Ernie dumped the cookies out of.
Number 8: ernie didn't have any money because he bought several nines.
Air: Ernie buys the air, but Bert accidently makes him drop it.
Snowman: it keeps gettign smaller and smaller, possibly melting.
U: According to Sesame Street Unpaved, it got bent so lefty tried to sell it as a V. But in the clip I saw of this sketch, the U was a rope tied to soem poles so that it looked like a U, and not like something that could get bent. Were there two U sketches?
Scale: Ernie already has a scale, but wants to buy the food that Lefty tested the scale with, which lefty didn't want to sell.

What are the endings of the other segments? Did the song "Would You Like To Buy An O?" show whetehr Ernie bought the O?

Ah good, more on Lefty the Salesman.
Looks like you've got most of the endings. I don't remember how the stop sign or the r&p ones ended. I don't recall the u one at all which was from 1969 and voiced by Caroll Spinney instead of Frank Oz. And I don't recall the snowman one at all (sounds great though, and typical Lefty. Sells Ernie a snowman and then the snowman melts, eh? ).
As for the o one, Ernie does not buy it. Near the end Lefty says:

"So buy the o and take it home tonight." Ernie starts to try to say something and Lefty says, "Don't ask any questions. Just buy the o and take it home tonight." Ernie again attempts to talk but Lefty once again cuts him off with, "You'll really love it. So buy the o and take it home tonight."
Ernie shakes his head no. The Salesman shrugs his shoulders, concedes and leaves the scene.

Any more details you can tell me about the snowman one, please do. I'll search for it in the forums here in the meantime. Don't recall ever seeing comments on it before.

So sorry to say, Dantecat, but I have nothing of SS clips or shows. I didn't have Noggin when they had SS unpaved and whenever I caught SS after I got my first VCR in about 1984 I never taped and saved any of the shows. Sure wish I had. I think "Follow That Bird" is the only thing I have. I wasn't even smart enough to save the 20th anniversary SS special from 1989 that I taped!

I don't really know anything else about the snowman sketch. The book Sesame Street Unpaved has lyrics to "would you like to buy an O?" along with a list of some of the things that lefty has sold, with some of the results. This is how I know about the snowman sketch.

Here is how the things he sold were written:

"PSST! OVER HERE! YOU WANNA BUY.....

*An invisible ice cream cone (Ernie bought it with an invisible nickle}
*A sbowman (that for some strange reason got smaller and smaller)
*An O ("it only costs a nickle.")
*A U (it gets bent-- so he tries to sell it as a V instead)"

Hmmmm. I remember the sketches with Lefty, but I don't remember Bert being in too many of them. It's a shame they don't play those anymore.

Lefty has to keep changing his sales pitch as the snowman shrinks. At the very end, he unenthusiastically asks Ernie to buy "...this little puddle of water."

Come to think of it, I don't recall any skit where Lefty interacted with Bert or any other muppet besides Ernie, his boss, and the policeman in one skit.

That's also all the muppets that I can recall Lefty ever interacting with. Bert would appear a few times in the segments, but always after Lefty already ... er ... left.
